Rain rain.....

I am looking forward to the next few days. I planted my herb seeds when it was sunny only to have 5 days of clouds and rain. =( Good thing this weekend will be hot and sunny. I also made some bread today. I cheated and used the bread machine, but I didn't have the time to acutally hand make some. I will hopefully on Thursday because it is back to work tomorrow. Anyway it's 8 pm and I am so ready for bed. I think I will go read my book for a bit, then hit the sack. Night all!

Yay for sun!!!!

Spring Time and planting.

Well it is that time of year again. My cherry tree has buds on it and I can't wait to see the blooms. We missed them last year because I didn't get the tree until April. I'm headed to home depot later today to look from some potters and plants or seeds to grow some stuff. Yeah I know if I want to test my green thumb I should probably know what kind of "stuff" I want to grow. But right now I just want to see what the stores have. I have a nice sized back deck, and it gets sun during the day, but is in shadow after noon. Plus it is full sun with no trees to shade. So I will have to find some plants that won't die on me if I put them in full sun and forget to water them sometimes. =) Russell also wants to work on his fence. The fence was put in about 5 years ago. And it was untreated wood. So now it is grey and yucky. Hopefully we can find a not so expensive way to fix it up nicely. A white picket fence would look very nice with the rest of his house I think. Wish us luck! And no RAIN!!!!

Happy Birthday

Today is Russell's 27th birthday. He is an old man! hahahah. Just kidding. Since I am turning 25 at the end of the year it seems that he is so much older than I am. My greatest triumph came this morning. For the past few years Russell has guessed all his birthday and Christmas presents. That's extremely frustrating for me since I like him to be surprised. So this morning I wrapped up his present in some tissue and gave it to him. I thought the wrapping would give it away right away. But lucky me, Russell is sick and therefore not thinking as clearly as he should. He asked me if the present was an egg. Like a chocolate peanut butter egg. =) Sneaky me, it wasn't. I gave him a shot glass from V Tech. It has their football chant "Stick it in" on it in Tech colors. I thought it was a funny thing to put on a shot glass. For Christmas Russell's mom had given us a shot glass dispaly case. A HUGE one. We like collecting funny shot glasses. Plus we still have quite a few spaces to fill. So the shot glass fit. To make sure he didn't get just a shot glass.... which cost me $5, he picked out a t-shirt from one of his favorite shows and I ordered it for him. Birthday lunch of sushi soon and then dinner out with his family to Kyoto the Japanese steakhouse in SP. It is looking to be a good day. Enjoy the weather!

Sleepover with Aunt Bebe and Cousin Meg

This weekend I got the chance to head up to NJ to babysit for my nephew. My cousin Megan came alone for the adventure.

This little man loves my phone. Especially after I took a video of his hoping his bunny around. Every time I got a message on my phone he would look at it and say "Bebe" asking me to play the video of the baby (him).

Paulie celebrated the wonderful , sunny spring weather by going without a onesie for the first time. He enjoyed showing off his belly to the world. It was quite cute.

Having a nephew makes me look forward to when it is my turn for kids. =)

PS: Meg was a HUGE help watching the kid. She took him to play in his bedroom for 20 minutes this morning so I could get a 20 minute power nap. It turned into about 10 minutes of sleeping but it certainly helped. =)

Happy St. Patrick's Day

Happy St. Patrick's Day everyone. Be sure to wear some green. Even if you aren't Irish, everyone is for a day.

It's warm outside

Hurray for spring. Even though I like winter I am looking forward to making up some planters for the back deck and weeding the garden (already started that) and not having to worry about the "Last Frost!!!" Planning on taking my bike out for a spin here soon. Maybe I can drag the boys (my brothers) out for some fun in the sun.

Dinner with the fam

My little brothers are coming over for dinner tonight. =) Ginger beef with grilled asaragus and some other great things. Yay. PS: Mom and Dad are in Philly for the flower show. And Kit is home for Spring Break. That is how Isaac will get across the bridge without having to swim the Chesapeake.

The last and final one (not blog, don't worry)

So I got another tattoo last night. A caduceus in fact. It will be my LAST one. Not because I don't like tattoos. But because I have all the meaning on my body that I want. I have the star of life, a breast cancer ribbon and now this one. That and Russell really doesn't like tattoos. While it is my body, if we get married it will be part his too and I really don't want a husband that has a aversion of my body because of the tattoos. Also I wonder what my back will look like in a wedding dress with the tattoos. Oh well. We'll find out when I get there.
