Destruction

I had to pull out four cucumber plants today. I planted too many in one pot. So now I only have three. Should I bury the four others? Maybe there will be cucmbers growing in the mulch pile? That would be quite neat. On the wedding front, nearly no progress has been made. And that is frustrating. Though we did decide what kind of Church to get married in, Russell wants to move as far away from home as possible to marry and I am trying to stay local. It's cheaper that way. So more research will be done. That reminds me... I have to call St. Christopher's to make sure we can even get married by Fr. Jennings! :-O

Frustrations.

I know I have almost two years to plan a wedding, but I like to be prepared. Especially when it comes to how much money Russell and I can spend on this event. But am I allowed to be frustrated when I am trying to gather my resources and Russell is less than helpful? He's in Vegas now enjoying his last day and night with his friends, but I am stuck at home with HIS desktop because my laptop in out of service and I can't get it connected to my printer. Russell tells me to wait the 2 days till he comes home and he will print the things that I need out when he is back. He also said that we have 2 years to plan. Grrrrr... I wanna plan now! Please? At least a budget. Anyway... frustranstion spent. I'm good now.

Details

I know this post is long over-due. I've been having computer issues recently and this is the first time I have been able to sit down to a computer without Russell having to steal it back. So here we go. Russell proposed to me on Friday. Thursday we had been dating for two years. I had to work from 7am to 11pm and Russell had the day off. When I got home I kinda gave Russell a little grief for not getting me flowers for our two year anniversary. The next morning, while I was playing with my iPod, Russell ran into the room, got down on his knees next to the bed and tossed a small box at me. He then said "I didn't get you flowers, but I got you this instead." And then "Notice how I am down on my knees." I started shaking and opened the box. It held the ring. Of course I am so surprised. I did not expect Russell to propose even though I wanted him to so much. I asked him if he was serious and he said yes. I put the ring on my finger and Russell told me of his adventures he took to get it just the night before. Thrusday evening Russell decided he was going to head across the bridge to the jewlery store to buy me an engagement ring. He took our friend Allyson with him. While driving he realized he hadn't talked to my parents at all so he sent my mom a text message saying he was in the area and could he stop by. Well showing up with Allyson in tow threw off my mom for a minute and she though he really was "just in the area," until he blurted out "I'm going to the jewlery store to get Elizabeth a ring." Needless to say my mother was extatic! Because my dad wasn't home from Boyscouts yet, Russell and Allyson headed to Reed's to buy this ring. They came back and Russell talked to my dad about proposing. He told everyone about these marvelous plans he had on how to propose such as coming back from Vegas and meeting me at airport security with a t-shirt that said "Elizabeth will you marry me?" But how he ended up doing it worked out quite well. I am really excited! I am looking forward to planning the wedding but even more importantly, I am looking forward to the rest of my life with Russell. =)

Lazy Day

There is nothing like a lazy spring day where you just don't have to do anything but lay in the sun or play in the dirt. I did both. Planted my tomato plants I bought at the farmer's market. They are already so big I had to stake them right away. Met Russell and Kevin for lunch. That was kinda boring since we went to Austin Grille and it's the same boring food over and over. We've been there a LOT! Drove home and spent most of the afternoon laying in the sun and enjoying the breeze. Maybe I should have weeded the garden a little more, but I can always do that tomorrow. Goal for tomorrow: fresh heavy cream for butter. I got a French Butter keeper from the farmer's market also and I really really want to try it out. Anyway, enjoy your spring day.

Exploring

Headed to the Farmer's market on Riva today with my momma. Gonna see what they have to offer. I hope it's good stuff. And I moved my planters yesterday. The back pourch only gets sun during the morning. The front sidewalk gets it mostly all day. I figure sun-loving plants would do better there. =) Oh and I have a plant growing!!! Unless it is a weed. Which would make me sad. Oh well. Happy Easter Weekend everyone.
